Captain Chris McCubbin

Born and raised in Naples Florida I've grown up fishing the waters of southwest Florida from Naples to Boca Grande. I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod, and have been "hooked" ever since. In my entire life I don't think I've spent more than three days in a row away from fishing. I knew at an early age that operating a fishing charter and guide service was in the cards for me. After a couple years away playing college baseball I moved back to Naples and started working on boats. I got my captains license in 2003 and shortly after started Capt Chris McCubbin Fishing Charters.

Getting to take people fishing for a living is a dream come true. I take great pleasure in helping other people catch fish, more so than fishing myself. Whether it's fishing inshore for Capt Chris McCubbinsnook and redfish, or offshore for permit and kingfish, I truly love the waters of Naples and I know you will too.

My Panga

Panga is a generic term for the skiffs used by the indigenous fishermen of Central America. Mine was custom built by Panga Marine specifically for fishing the waters of Naples and southwest Florida. Pangas are remarkably stable, exceedingly dry, and provide tremendous fishability. As you can see in the photo... My boat floats in less than a foot of water, a necessity to safely traverse the inshore waters of Naples. Safe, comfortable, and dry - It is the perfect fishing charter boat.
